Elixir Visits the Victims of Typhoon “Yolanda”

YOLANDA or Typhoon Haiyan, was one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded in history. It brought devastation to parts of Southeast Asia, mainly in the Philippines last November 8, 2013. It is the deadliest typhoon to ever hit the country as it resulted in at least 6,300 deaths and countless injuries in the Philippine area, mostly in Tacloban.

Sense of Compassion within the Organization

In the spirit of the Christmas season, Elixir wanted to help the victims recover from the tragedy while also instilling a sense of compassion within the organization. Thankfully, its employees were very generous to donate the budget for their annual Christmas Party, and instead use it for the benefit of the affected community. Moreover, Elixir was able to organize a “Feeding Program” for the victims of the tragedy as a venue for its employees to not only help in terms of monetary means, but also to personally interact with them and share their experiences.
