Elixir Joins Forces with the Philippine Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association

Elixir Industrial Equipment Inc., is inducted as a New Member of the Philippine Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) for 2014

The Philippine Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association

The Philippine Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association or the PPMA was established in 1950 with the primary objective of bringing together entities engaged in the manufacturing and/or marketing of pharmaceutical products. It also aims to continually upgrade the standards of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in the Philippines and promotes and encourages pharmaceutical research and technology development with a focus on utilizing indigenous materials. The association aims to work in partnership with the medical and allied professions for the betterment of the healthcare delivery system in the country.
Last February 26, 2014, history was again made when Pascual Laboratories Vice President for Supply Group, Engr. Higinio “JP” Porte Jr. was inducted as its President for 2014. Along with PPMA founding members Mr. Isoceles Pascual and Mrs. Leonora Pascual, he is the third President to represent their company.

Porte was voted by 90% of the general membership, which consists of the 69 active PPMA members from local and multi-national pharmaceutical companies and suppliers. This figure greatly reflects the trust and confidence the pharmaceutical industry has given both Porte and Pascual Laboratories. Interestingly, the newly elected President also inducted one of Pascual’s, as well as other members’ own supplier – Elixir Industrial Equipment Inc., represented by Commercial Director Mrs. Sharron E. Manzano. Moreover, Elixir, one of the leaders in the supply of industrial equipment, has been a major player in the field for over a decade and is now part of the premier organization of the pharmaceutical industry. This alliance not only strengthens the credibility of Elixir as a major supplier, but would also allow it to unify with, and contribute to the goals of PPMA.

Congratulations to Engr. JP Porte and to the Elixir Team!
